The Forming Process Of Acrylic Board

Commonly used molding processes for acrylic in industrial production include casting, injection molding, extrusion, thermoforming, etc.
Casting molding is mainly used for the forming of acrylic plates, bars and other profiles. The formed products require post-processing before they can be used. Cast acrylic sheets have strong stiffness, strength and excellent chemical resistance, and have unparalleled flexibility in color systems and surface texture effects.
Injection molding uses pellets produced by suspension polymerization as raw materials and is molded on an ordinary plunger or screw injection molding machine. It should be noted that due to the poor fluidity of acrylic particles, the flow resistance of the injection molding system should be small. The gate should use a larger side gate. The surfaces of the mold cavity and flow channel should be smooth, and post-processing is required after molding. processing.
Extrusion molding is the extrusion of acrylic pellets produced by suspension polymerization into acrylic sheets, rods, pipes, sheets, etc. Acrylic products made by extrusion molding have low molecular weight, weak mechanical properties, and low heat resistance and solvent resistance. However, this process has high production efficiency and high product flexibility, which is conducive to bending and thermoforming processing.
